We always stay at the Arlington when we visit Dublin! I think that says more than enough :) Nice rooms, great location in the city center, good drinks (beer for me, cocktails for my girlfriend) and fantastic food.
Every year we look forward to our annual trip to Dublin, as we know that we’ll be staying at the Arlington.

5we loved our short stay at Arlington! the staff was super sweet, especially Derek. He went above and beyond during our stay to make it more convenient for us! The bar is also great! Live traditional irish music, fire place and what you’d picture an Irish pub to be. For the price and in the heart of dublin, i highly recommend.

4The staff was very helpful and nice. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast offering was super and the serving staff very pleasant. The hotel is well located. The only problem we had was noise from drunks on the street below. Towards the end of our stay we complained to the front desk which informed us that we could call them and they would get the police to take care of the rowdy people. Wish we had known that earlier. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

5This was our first stay at this lovely hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal on the first night listening to the craic. The ribs were delicious.
The room was spacious and the king sized bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were always attentive and happy to help. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with as much tea and coffee as you could drink. The hotel itself was centrally located so very convenient to shops, restaurants, bars and sightseeing.
We would certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to a return visit in the future.

5We loved staying at this hotel in the lively heart of Dublin! It was beautiful and charming in a sweet authentic way, and was filled with lovely antiques. The whole building has beautiful finishes and flooring, and there was a terrific live band in the restaurant when we stayed. If you want a super-quiet, climate-controlled, modern hotel, then do not stay here. If you enjoy having the window open and listening to the people living it up downtown in the heart of the most beautiful city (like we did) this is a jewel!

5We loved our stay at the Arlington. Of course there is always some good and some bad, so I’ll start with some minor things which were annoying: firstly, the fire alarm sound went off in our room very briefly each night of our stay. We called to reception and were told to ignore it and that they were testing the alarm. Secondly there was no air conditioning. We were fortunate that the weather was comfortable outside so our room was only warm and not sweltering. Finally, the shower was quite old, but it did it’s job. Here are the things that we loved about the Arlington: the location was perfect! We had booked several bus tours during our stay, and we were easily within 2 to 10 minutes walking distance to catch a bus each morning. The bus to the Dublin airport also has a bus stop right at the door of the Arlington. We were also an easy walking distance to many of the things we wanted to see in Dublin. For example, we walked to Saint Stephen’s Park, Trinity College, the Docklands, Temple Bar, The Haepenny Bridge and O’Connel street. Another highlight of the Arlington was the staff. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, warm and accommodating. The manager at the breakfast buffet was particularly friendly and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcomed and satisfied. Excellent breakfast buffet, by the way, which was included in the price of our room. The Arlington also offers plenty of choices for food and entertainment. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, had supper in the pub and enjoyed the live Irish music there one evening, and treated ourselves to the Celtic Nights dinner show one other evening. Overall, we were delighted with our stay at the Arlington, would stay there again, and will definitely recommend it! Thanks for a wonderful time in Dublin, Arlington!

4Pros: Location could not be better. Good room and facilities, clean and well maintained. Good quality wifi. Helpfull and nice staff. Breakfast was excelent on all counts.
Cons: no single fawcet on bathroom sink makes it impossible to mix hot/cold running water in the sink; no detachable shower head makes shower dificult.
All in all, if I return to Dublin I’d probably stay here again.

4Had a fantastic 2 night stay @ The Arlington Hotel. Hotel is clean, beds big and comfortable, staff really engaging and helpful.
In a great location with all the amenities you could wish for just a short walk away which after several Guinness is essential.
Entertainment in the bar downstairs goes on till late so you may need to keep your windows closed if you’re early to bed, but I advise you join in and enjoy yourselves.
Full Irish Breakfast is fantastic value @ 10 Euros if not included in your tariff and keeps you going till well into the afternoon when the beer munchies kick in.
Definitely will be coming back ….

5If you are looking for a great hotel in the middle of the action of the temple bar area this is the right choise. It is only a two minute walk to go to the temple bar and just a 10 minute walk to crafton street and trinity collage.
Beside that, the Arlington is a fine hotel, with good food and the celtic night show is great.
When you are planning a trip to Dublin, the Arlington is the place to be.
On out next trip to Dublin the Arlington is the place we are going to!

5Our first trip to Dublin but certainly not our last. Hotel location couldn’t be better, staff very helpful and welcoming, food and entertainment excellent, we didn’t manage to to see the “Celtic Nights” show.
My only minor complaint would be some of the bathrooms are a little dated and only have a shower cubicle which is very small. Having said that it will not deter us from returning to the hotel in the near future.

5Wonderful stay at the Arlington, sadly it was just for one night. The location is great with it being in the heart of the city and easy to get to everything!
I also have to say the lady in charge in the dining room was awesome (sadly I forgot her name, maybe Barbara). I had to leave very early to catch my flight home and the rest of my family weren’t leaving until later. We wanted to just have a cup of coffee and say our goodbyes. Unfortunately the dining room wasn’t open yet, she was kind enough to let us come in while they were getting ready for breakfast and enjoy our coffee and say our goodbyes! Thank you!

5This is a lovely hotel very central right by the River Liffey by the Halfpenny bridge, O’Connell street shopping areas and Temple bar with its restaurants and bars. We travelled over on the ferry from Holyhead and this is a few minutes walk from where the ferry (and airport) shuttle buses run from. The rooms were great. We had a huge room with double bed, single bed and lots of space both wardrobe storage and dressing table/ desk. There was a large armchair and the king size bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom by comparison was a tad smaller with a small bath and the shower wasn’t great. The hotel has a bar and restaurant downstairs which had a good vibe and we enjoyed live music and a good selection of beers competitively priced compared to other bars in this central area. We ate breakfast which was buffet style, good quality and well organised. Our room n the first floor overlooked the River Liffey with two big windows and a good cityscape view. We didn’t get any noise from the bar below but the road outside was quite noisy through the night, it seems Dublin taxi and bus drivers love to blast their horns 24 hours a day! Would definitely recommend and we are already looking at returning later in the year.

4Me and my partner had a lovely 2 night break at the Arlington Hotel on 14th Feb. Our room was very spacious light and airy with views over the River Liffey. The hotel was perfectly situated for all good pubs, eateries, Dublin Castle and Temple Bar. We had very good hot breakfasts each morning and the staff were exellent - very efficient and friendly. We would definitely recommend the Arlington and hope to stay there again on our next visit to Dublin.

5As a couple on a night out from home, we both found the hotel to be in a great location, with great service and friendly staff. The only downfall was the aging furniture of the bedroom, but that won’t prevent us from returning in the future or reccomending the hotel to friends and family.
Thanks for the great service and hope to see you again soon!

5Bar food very enjoyable , celtic night was enjoyable definitely for the tourists but a good night regardless and the 3 course meal was fab. good entertainment in the bar and residents bar went on well into the morning ! Room very good warm and comfortable and the 3 single beds was very welcome as we often have to settle for a double and single , only complaint I have is the shower curtain in the bathroom was mouldy all along the bottom and the holder beside the sink was rusty

4We have been going to Dublin for 20 years and staying in the Arlington hotel has always been home from home the staff have always been very helpful and friendly food 9⁄10 rooms 8⁄10 and right where you can get to all the attractions what more could you ask for

5We stayed at the Arlington for 2 nights in mid January on the recommendation of a friend who travels to Ireland regularly. Our twin bed room was very comfortable, albeit somewhat too warm until we turned off the radiator completely. When we arrived the radiator was churning out the heat and the window was cracked open, which seemed a little odd. Once we closed the window and turned off the radiator it cooled down nicely. Coffee and tea was available in the room, though we didn’t use it. The shower was nice. No water pressure issues at all.
Breakfast was a plentiful buffet with all the foods you might want. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the sausage was excellent, as was the porridge, and the tea was strong. Nobody will go hungry at the Arlington.
The hotel is very conveniently located within a short walk to Trinity College, Christchurch and St. Patricks Cathedrals, Dublin Castle, and the Guinness Storehouse about 1.5 miles away. Just as well because driving in Dublin is not pleasant. We walked everywhere, but public transport is also available close to the hotel. There are numerous nice pubs and cafes close by. Bowes whiskey bar is worth a visit.
The hotel lacked the intimate setting that one would get with a bed and breakfast. The dining room seemed a little institutional.
The reason for the 4 star review rather than a 5 star review is mainly because of the parking arrangements. There is free parking beneath the hotel, but this is not made at all clear on the hotel’s web site. There is mention of reduced rate parking at some of the city parking garages, but no mention of which ones or how to get there, or where to go to use the free parking option. Where the hotel is located it would be virtually impossible to park temporarily out front while asking for directions. We ended up parking in one of the city lots, but not one that offers the reduced rate, and walking to the hotel to find out what to do next. It then took a 20 minute drive through Dublin traffic to get to the alley behind the hotel in order to push the button to get someone to come out and open the garage door. If you are driving you own car, be sure to call ahead and get detailed information about the parking situation.

I would stay here again… as it central to everything.
